WORLD WATER DAY 2015 CELEBRATION

In connection with the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) Memorandum Circular No. 002. 15 dated February 23, 2015, all Regional/Provincial Water District Associations and Water Districts were enjoined to participate on a weeklong celebration of the World Water Day 2015 with the theme “Water and Sustainable Development”.
All Water Districts, in their respected jurisdiction were encouraged to conduct an activity that will embody the importance of fresh water and promote sustainable management of the fresh water resources in support to the said celebration. The Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) in response to the World Water Day celebration, conducted its treeplanting activity last March 28, 2015 at the Anayan-Rumangrap Watershed Area located at Del Rosario, Pili, Camarines Sur.
The tree-planting activity was participated by the MNWD employees, which were composed of regular, casual, and contract of service employees in support to the occasion and at the same time promotes good relationship among co-workers in the district. The participants were able to plant three hundred (300) native species of seedlings like Maromangga and Narra at Block 4 and 5 inside the Anayan-Rumangrap Watershed Area near the Anyan Spring.
