RVC Annual General Assembly
One fine Sunday, the Metro Naga Water District (MNWD) personnel and Rotary Club of Naga members went to the Rotary Village Corps (RVC) at the relocation site in Barangay Del Rosario, Pili, Camarines Sur, for its annual general assembly. The RVC residents are the primary stakeholders and partners of the MNWD in the preservation and management of the watersheds within Mt. Isarog Natural Park (MINP).
In line with the community development program within the Integrated Watershed Development Project (IWDP) of the MNWD and as part of collaborative efforts between MNWD and Rotary Club of Naga, the RVC Annual General Assembly is held every last quarter of the year to strengthen the partnership, give assistance, and make a year-end assessment of livelihood projects for the RVC families.
The activity was done last November 26, 2017, with about 75 people participating comprised of the Rotary Club of Naga officers and members, visiting Rotarians from Batangas, young Rotaract members, MNWD personnel, and the RVC families. Mr. Ricardo Felix III represented Acting General Manager Virginia I. Nero and Directors Monina Lily A. Claveria and Adolfo L. Olivan were there to lend their support to the event.
There was a short program before the gift-giving and lunch was served which everybody partook of in the happy atmosphere of goodwill and camaraderie.
A total of 33 packs of rice and groceries from MNWD were given to the RVC families. The partners likewise gave their share of goodies to the RVC families.
