The Public Relations and External Affairs Section (PREAS), responsible for information dissemination and image-building for the District, recently presented an Audio-Visual Presentation to the people of MNWD with the aim of encouraging engagement from them.

The Presentation contained a Brief History of the District, the History and Accomplishments of the Section, a short clip about Public Relations and what its functions to the organization are, the Section’s future Plans and Programs, and lastly it provided an introduction to the Official MNWD Newsletter – “BULOS”.

BULOS is a Bikolano term which may mean continuous pouring, or flow, depending on how it is used. The MNWD Newsletter Title was coined through a Newsletter Title Making Contest which ran starting October 28, 2016 until November 14, 2016. The contest was open to all Permanent and Casual MNWD Employees, and Contract of Service Workers. The Winning Entry was from Mr. Benjamin Peralta Jr., a Contract of Service Worker of the Water Distribution and Restoration Division.

“BULOS” is a fitting name for the official newsletter because the free and continuous flow of news and updates on a quarterly basis is the primary aim of this publication. This newsletter intends to disseminate information on the news, events, programs, activities, achievements, and future plans of the water district to provide better water service to its consumers. It also intends to empower its employees by raising morale through posting noteworthy personnel and their groundbreaking achievements.
