PEDICAB DRIVER AND WIFE: MNWD’S GOOD SAMARITANS
The Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) is all praises for spouses Salvador and Teresita Candelaria, residents of San Felipe, Naga City, who returned an office-issued meter reading device, which was received by Meter Reader Ignacio Veloso with the presence of Customer Services Department Manager A Virginia I. Nero and Customer Accounts Division Manager A Shirley B. Peña on May 3, 2019.
Last April 2019, MNWD Meter Reader Iganacio Veloso lost said device after he conducted meter reading on site. Immediately, he coordinated with the barangay officials and Pinag-isang Samahan ng mga Tsuper ng Tricycle at Operator sa Naga (PISTTON) to post notices of the lost gadget with a contact number. With the help of ABS-CBN Naga, the same was also aired on TV through its program, TV Patrol Bikol.
Meanwhile, Salvador, a pedicab driver, and his wife Teresita, saw the notice posted and realized that the device they found was the same item described. The couple immediately visited the MNWD office to return the meter reading device.
The MWND is extremely grateful to Salvador and Teresita for their kindness and going out of their way to return the meter reading device. As proven in this case, our customer is not only an integral partner in our operation, but also in community service and development. (Katrina A. Bonafe)
