The Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) women employees conducted their treeplanting activity at Anayan-Rumangrap Watershed Area in connection with the 2015 National Women’s Month Celebration. The aforesaid activity was conducted in conformity with Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 04, series 2015, dated February 25, 2015.

The National Women’s Month was declared on the first week of March and was celebrated last March 8, 2015. The celebration had a theme “Juana, Desisyon Mo ay Mahalaga sa Kinabukasan ng Bawat Isa, Ikaw na!”, mainly the women’s month is all about giving tribute and importance to the contribution made by women in our society. Women who are part and leads in nation building by providing wisdom and knowledge in order to walk the right path to success.

The women participants in the scheduled tree-planting activity planted an estimated 100 pcs. native seedlings of maromangga and narra at the Anayan-Rumangrap Watershed Area located at Del Rosario, Pili, Cam. Sur. The said activity was participated not only by the women employees of the water district but also by their male co-workers to show support and respect in their contribution to the success of MNWD.
