Naga City Science High School Students Visit MNWD
Incoming Grade 7 students from Naga City Science High School (NCSHS) visited the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) last Wednesday, May 10 for a familiarization tour on how the water supply system within the MNWD’s coverage area works.
About 140 bright youngsters fresh from elementary school went to the MNWD accompanied by NCSHS STE Coordinator Raphael G. Acabado, teachers Wayvell Pablo, Evangeline Chavez, Johnny Samino, and Dennis Glenn Coronel.
They came in two batches and Maide D. Sison of the Public Relations and External Affairs Section (PREAS) took charge of giving the students a tour of the MNWD offices. The students were introduced to the different operating divisions of the MNWD, the laboratory, and the model of the MNWD Water Supply System.
Sison gave them basic information on the services of the MNWD thru flyers and newsletters. She encouraged the visiting students to not just help protect the environment but also advocate conserving water.
