MNWD Supports Campaign to End VAW

In compliance and support to Proclamation 1172 s. 2006, Declaring 25 November to 12 December as the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), over 70 Male and Female MNWD employees attended the Violence against Women and Children (GAD-VAWC) Seminar held on the 29th of November 2016 at the MNWD Function Hall, 3rd Floor, Admin Building.

Registration started at 1:00 in the afternoon. The Invocation followed right after, along with the Opening Remarks from Human Resource Division Manager Ricardo B. Felix III.

Resource persons SPO4 Liza Jane C. Alteza and SPO1 Arlene E. Regachuelo from the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO) discussed Laws Concerning Women and Children, and Violence against Women and Children. RA 9262 was among these laws. This law seeks to address the frequency of violence and abuse against women and children by their intimate partners. These acts categorizes as a public crime.

End VAW Now! SPO4 Liza Jane C. Alteza and SPO1 Arlene E. Regachuelo from the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO) discussed VAWC topics to the men and women of MNWD.

Brochures containing information regarding Republic Act 9262, Child Abuse Prevention, Anti-criminality Tips, as well as contact information of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office were distributed to the participants.

The Camarines Sur PPO encourages the men and women of MNWD to support the campaign and report to their office any incident of abuse especially those of women and children.
