MNWD Pedaled like Jesse
Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Philippines (FNF) campaign together with the Naga City Local Government through Mayor John G. Bongat and Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion, and “Kaya Natin” paved its way to the City of Naga through an interactive biking event held on August 19, 2017, at around 6:00 o’clock in the morning, which started off and finished at the Naga City Hall grounds.
The said event sought to raise wider public awareness to take proactive role on the discussion of freedom, innovations, good governance, and responsible environmental stewardship. This cycling event also commemorates the fifth death anniversary of the late former Mayor of Naga City, who last served as the Secretary of Interior and Local Government, Jesse Robredo.
Metropolitan Naga Water District headed by Acting General Manager Virginia I. Nero, pedaled its support to FNF’s campaign by participating in the said event together with other enthusiasts cycling around the city like what the late Secretary used to do when he was still alive.
Vice President Leni G. Robredo herself graced the said activity to pay tribute to the memory of her late husband’s leadership characterized by yearning for innovation and for people empowerment.
