MNWD launches website

NAGA CITY — Classified by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) as the only Credit Worthy (CW) water district under the ‘Big Category’ for the Bicol Region, the Metropolitan Naga Water District climbs one step higher by formally launching its MNWD Website, marking another milestone in customer service and e-business.
The MNWD, under the helm of Chairman Fotunato ‘Tato’ Mendoza, serves the potable water needs of consumers in the City of Naga and the nearby municipalities of Canaman, Camaligan, Gainza, and Magarao.
The MNWD website makes it easy for member-consumers to get in touch with their water service provider by simply clicking www.mnwd.gov.ph. The website features Customer Page and Services that provide useful guides on proper water utilization, billing rates, computation and transactions, as well as schedules of various works and services, general information, customer care, and assistance menu.
The Customer Page also outlines “Bill Calculator” (by which the browser is guided of his/her estimated monthly water bill computation); “Water Rates Schedule” (in accordance with consumer classification and consumption, as per LWUA-approved schedule); “Payment Centers” which are illustrated and mapped for easy searching and locating; “Report Now” and “Question and Answer” menus also provide quick assistance for customers inquiries. “Report Now” are for documentation and authentication purposes.
In the Services menu, new water connection applications are available for download so that required documents may be filled up at home.
Various water transactions and service schedules are in the Services menu, such as the “Lorry Services Schedule” which identifies particular distribution areas within the Metro Naga area; “Mobile Collection Services” outlines specific location within the particular town where mobile collection of bill payments may be accepted; “Laboratory Services” also informs the public on results of safe water testing in specific areas.
“At the onset of the rapidly growing population of the Metro Naga communities, and the advancement of global technology,” Acting MNWD General Manager Virginia I. Nero said that “it is but just timely that we also advance, as we tend to be competitive in terms of information technology and the processes by which it is speedily transmitted, and therefore we in the Water District respond to the call of the times with our launching of the MNWD website.” Trebb Gomez (MNWD)
