The 4th Kapihan sa Metro Naga Chamber, a talk show produced by the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) in cooperation with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), held a forum on the Conservation and Protection of Mt. Isarog Natural Park (MINP), on Tuesday, April 25 at the Bob Marlin Restaurant and Grill on Magsaysay Ave.

Back to back with the recent observance of the Earth Day, last April 22, where the water district actively participated in, the Kapihan was sponsored by the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD).

MNWD Chairman of the Board Jorge T. Palma, a former MNCCI director himself, Director Marilissa Jimenez Ampuan, NCPO Director PSupt. Julius Muñez, Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion, MNCCI President Gilbert Albero, and Police Community Relation (PCR) Chief, PSupt. Errol Garchitorena were the resource speakers of the forum. It was a free flow of 2 & ½ hours of updates and ideas regarding the life giving watershed up in Mt. Isarog.

Each resource speaker explained how their respective institutions have partnered with the MNWD on the conservation and protection of the MINP.

It is a consensus of everyone involved in the advocacy program that water is a limited natural resource but supply has to be adequate, clean, and within reach of the public. The partners have to look forward to the conservation of this finite and most precious commodity and be always ready for the surge in demand for water in as much as Naga City is growing in leaps and bounds.

MNCCI President Gilbert Albero stressed the importance of communication, thus, the partnership with the PIA and the KBP, to relay the issues, concerns, developments happening in the community.
