MNWD, RCN lead the RCC Annual General Assembly 2020
On December 6, 2020, the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD), through its Engineering and Environment Department (EED), together with the Rotary Club of Naga (RCN), led the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) General Assembly at the Rotary Village Relocation Site, Brgy. Del Rosario, Pili, Camarines Sur. This activity is regularly conducted to strengthen partnerships towards environmental preservation, protection, and health, including the purpose of extending assistance to the community during this time of pandemic and economic difficulty.
Grocery packs, school supplies, and other essentials were distributed to the families of RCC for them to enjoy this coming Christmas. RCN incumbent President Jojo Prieto with former president Anne Delloro, RCN member and MNWD Board Director Agileo Michael Pauig, other club officers, and Rotaract attended the event. Meanwhile, OIC Assistant General Manager for Operations and Technical Services Vicente A.D. Rubio and General Manager Virgilio B. Luansing I, represented MNWD.
The RCC has been a partner of MNWD in the conservation of our watershed for more than 2 decades now. Several programs were developed to sustainably manage the protected area within the Mount Isarog Natural Park (MINP), particularly the 317 hectares Anayan-Rumangrap watershed located at Brgy. Del Rosario, Pili, Camarines Sur. Since then, MNWD was able to receive numerous awards and citations from the regional and national award-giving bodies. These would not have been possible without the help and support of the Rotary Community Corps who are our greatest ally in watershed rehabilitation and protection.
Every year, MNWD and RCN gather at the RVC site to express our sincere appreciation to all families who have contributed their efforts for the conservation and improvement of the Anayan-Rumangrap watershed. All the support and collaborations are a great contribution to the District’s vision of a clean, healthy, highly diversified, densely vegetated watershed within a community that is committed to preserving and protecting the natural resources so that we can be assured of sustainable water supply.
