The Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) together with other government agencies and institutions were recognized during the 2018 Palarong Bicol Debriefing and Strategic Planning Conference held last March 2, 2018 at the Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City.

The program was conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd) Naga City Schools Division Office headed by William E. Gando, CESO VI, OIC Schools Division Superintendent who also opened the ceremony.

According to him, the 2018 Palarong Bicol was a huge success because of the overwhelming support and hospitality of the Naga City community despite the very short notice.

Present in the event were representatives from different agencies like the Local Government Unit of Naga (LGU), Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Naga City Police Office (NCPO), Public Safety Office (PSO), Naga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NCDRRMC), Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and other media partners, including the Metro Naga Water District (MNWD), and the school principals from billeting centers that accommodated the delegates from different provinces. Each representative was given an opportunity to share their contributions and/or accomplishments, insights and observations, and areas of improvement for future planning.

The billeting schools were very happy to announce how their respective schools prepared for 2018 Palarong Bicol which in effect made the stay of the delegates comfortable and memorable.

Moreover, the MNWD received praises from the billeting schools for the support expressed prior and during said event with the supervision of Engr. Gilbert V. Eleazar, Division Manager A of Water Distribution and Restoration Division. The MNWD ensured that all billeting centers had a clean, safe, and adequate water supply. Drinking stations were also set-up during the opening and closing ceremonies which the participants gladly availed of.

Trust that MNWD will continue to engage and be involved in activities and programs of the Naga City community. The 2018 Palarong Bicol is definitely a solid proof of our commitment to future endeavors. (Auria S. Gonzales)
