Title: MNWD: 2016 BIWADA Sportsfest 2nd Runner-Up

The Bicol Water Districts Association (BIWADA) awarded the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) delegation 2nd Runner-Up in the recent concluded Water Districts Regional Sports event held at Malabog National High School, Salvacion, Daraga, Albay on April 26-30.

This BIWADA Sportsfest is an annual event with this year’s title “2016 BIWADA Sportsfest: The Ultimate Challenge” participated by local water districts within the Bicol Region which aims to maintain friendship and camaraderie among the members in the industry.

Traditional ball games were always included in the series of activities which also includes the Belly Dancing: Big Edition, BIWADA Master Chef, Plumbing Olympics, Tribal Call, Your Face Sounds Familiar and the Ultimate Race were some of the highlights. This year’s sportsfest was hosted by Daraga Water District headed by General Manager Annie Marie N. Jaucian which was slated from April 26-30, 2016.

The MNWD team composed of 25 permanent and casual employees was chaired by Ms. Maria Cyril Caballero has brought home gold in “Your Voice Sounds Familiar” and “Pass a Ball”, silver for BIWADA Master Chef and Plumbing Olympics; bronze for belly dancing and basketball.
