10 MNWD PERSONNEL EARNS COMMENDATION POST TYPHOON USMAN RELIEF EFFORTS
A few days before Filipinos welcomed 2019, Typhoon Usman hit the country which resulted to the disastrous state of Buhi, Bula, Iriga City, Sagnay, and some parts of Tiwi, Albay. At the height of the calamity, the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) through its Disaster Risk Reduction Management structure deployed lorry trucks to provide clean water to the flood-stricken families and communities from midnight of December 29, 2018 to January 2,2019.
Braced with the sincerest intention and commitment to serve beyond the call of duty, 10 MNWD personnel braved the aftermath of Usman and delivered much needed potable water to the affected areas.
As such, certificate of commendation were awarded to Emmanuel A. Arcilla, Bonifacio B. Besenio, Ernie George N. Caning, Ricardo R. Casimiro, Jessie D. Leonidas, Alex I. Nogot, NiƱo Joseph A. Pelausa, Nestor G. San Luis, Angelo S. San Pascual, and Juan C. Turiano, Jr. whose efforts and dedication were valuable to the relief operation extended by MNWD.
Their desire and willingness to serve is indeed worthy of emulation and praise from the MNWD community. May you continue to fuel our mutual efforts towards service above self and stay compassionate for the people we pledged to serve. (Katrina A. Bonafe)
