MNWD Recipient of the Big Brother Award and Best Smoke-Free Government Agency

September is indeed a month of celebration and gratitude as the Metropolitan Naga Water District (MNWD) received the Big Brother Award from the Local Water Utilities Administration and the Best Smoke-Free Government Agency Award from the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

The Big Brother Award was given to MNWD for its dedication to serve the water industry and extend support to other water districts to become institutionally sufficient, sustainable, and financially viable.

Alongside this award is the DOH-Accredited Laboratory distinction presented to the MNWD during the LWUA-WD Forum and Awards 2018 held last September 17, 2018 at the PICC, Metro Manila.

Present at the ceremonies to receive the award and attend the forum were the MNWD Board of Directors and Management led by Chairman Jorge T. Palma and General Manager A Virgilio B. Luansing I.

Moreover, MNWD won the CSC’s Best Smoke-Free Government Agency awarded last September 21, 2018 in Legazpi City. The MNWD bested other agencies in the category because of its outstanding contribution to the CSC’s advocacy for a smoke-free bureaucracy and 100% compliance with the provisions of CSC MC No. 17, s. of 2009.

These awards truly characterize the direction that MNWD is heading. The District continues to seek for excellence and will continue to do so with the help of the community and the stakeholders by sharing the same vision of an improved and dignified living standards for the people and a sustainable environment.
